Today may have been an ordinary day for many, but not for Levi. The moment of the week that pissed him of the most was happening: the parents/teacher meeting. He wasn't eager to hear teachers' opinions on his situation. Each time he got either sympathetic looks and ass-congratulations for being a single father, either judgmental stares from parents and single mothers because of his look and sailor mouth. You can go fuck yourselves, he always said with his glare. I'm a punk ass single father but I can do as well as all of you in this area.
Not to mention the personal appointment with the teacher. Mikasa wasn't much trouble, so he would get compliments for her grades and her behaviour.
But with Eren, it was different. The brat fought three times a week. Levi had tried basic pedagogy –fighting doesn't solve your problems- deals and threats but the brown-haired boy always found an excuse to let his love for fights express and forget his talks with his father. So far, Levi had managed to avoid meetings with his teacher but if he went for Mikasa he couldn't step back for Eren.
So, here he was, on Saturday morning, ready to go to primary school trying to defend his son, who may be the person he loved the most with his daughter but didn't have any excuses for his behaviour.

Things went out just like expected. Mikasa's teacher, whom Levi completely forgot the name, couldn't stop praising the raven-haired girl. Of course she's awesome, she's my daughter, Levi thought with a stern look on his face.
After the meeting, he went to Eren's class. There, he came across a dozen of adults, all dressed in suits and a little bit too formal wear. What the hell? It's just a meeting with a woman who teaches kids how to read, he frowned. Seeing his The Ramones shirt, dark tight jeans and black boots made some widened their eyes at his entrance but his glare brought back them to their normal size. He sat next to a tall blond man in a white shirt who didn't look talkative. But he was wrong. The man turned himself and greeted him.
“Hello, I'm Erwin Smith.” He said with a welcoming smile.

“... Is it supposed to ring a bell?”

“No, I just wanted to start the conversation.” Erwin answered ignoring Levi's rudeness. “Who is your kid?”

“It's Eren.” The fucking fight lover, he noted to himself.

“Oh really? It's funny, my son often talks about him.” Erwin sweetly smiled. “According to him, his good mood and energy are unbeatable.”

“Tch, I'd like to find a way to beat these, your brat may like that but it's fucking annoying for the others.” Levi sighed. In a rare moment, his face expressed his worry. Eren's behaviour got himself in trouble but he didn't seem to care. As a parent, he felt a bit insecure, wondering where did his education failed. Of course he could be vulgar and quite violent, but in front of his children he always show the example and did his best to educate them well.
Erwin caught his gaze and cast him a sympathetic one.

“You know... Maybe you could offer him to do some activity that would relieve him, like sport, or something else.” Levi eyed his interlocuter. “And it may reassure Ms Ral.” He added with a wink. Levi stared at him. For the first time in a long time ago, someone was giving him a really good idea (in his opinion) But before he got the time to think of something to answer, the short ginger-head female camed out of the room. “Mr Smith, please come in.” She said with a polite smile. The tall blond man smiled at Levi and stood up.
Thirty minutes later, it was Levi's turn. And unlike what he expected earlier, things weren't that bad. The short woman was a little bit vanilla for his liking. But, though expressing her worry about her pupil's behaviour, she noted Eren's qualities and good work. She patiently heard what Levi had to say, while discreetingly flinch at Levi's vocabulary, and was delighted to learn the solution Levi got earlier. The meeting ended with a serene smile of Ms Ral and a handshake.

When Levi got out, he noticed Erwin was in the waiting area.

“Why the hell did you wait for me?” Levi raised an eyebrow.

“Oh, I thought maybe you'd like to have a drink.” Erwin answered him with a charming smile. Levi felt his cheeks burning at this sight. After recovering from this unexpected reaction, he casted the man an apologizing look.
“I would have love to, but we have family visit this afternoon and it's quite far away, so long trip.” Erwin's shoulders fell. “But, huh, I wanted to thank you for your advice, that's a fucking idea.” Levi added with a geniune smile.

“You're very welcome Levi. We the single parents should be solidary.” Erwin answered. Levi, a bit uneasy, ran his hand through his hair, which had for effect to make feel Erwin just like Levi did earlier when the blond man smiled and silence settled, none of the two knowing what to say. But Levi spoke again.

“Yeah, sure. Gimme your phone, I'll put my number.” This was the only sentence he thought of to chase the awkward but ephemere silence. After Erwin handed him the object he wanted, Levi registered himself and send his number a message. “There you go. Text me if you're bored or need a last minute babby sitter. My neighboor Hange does good job, he took a year off so he has plenty of free time.”

“Thank you Levi. Well, see you soon.” Levi smirked at him and walked out. Erwin looked at his silhouette, before leaving as well.

In the end it's a good thing Eren's a troublemaker.
I got a little bored, so I decided to write short stuff about my favourite ship.

None of the characters are mine, nor that wonderful fanart.

That is actually a good advice! Everyone has a certain amount of energy, and the only thing about it that can be controlled is the way we use it.

Getting into troubles is actually always useful! You make friends by fighting troubles, because there is no unique problem in this world. If you have a problem, you can be 100% certain someone out there also has the same. What is needed is to connect to them, unify, and fight! That's a great start to a relationship.
